DOARS- Week 7 Day 4- Green

Dear Diary,

I don't think my husband is that crazy about his alternate dimension relatives. I haven't really seen him spend any time with them, really, aside from my children, no one over here is that interested in them. Don't take it the wrong way, but I'm a fairly busy woman, and with the war going on, what time do I have for people that are sort of possibly related to us? Besides, my kids hang out with them everyday at school. I guess that is a bit heartless of me. Well, when I have the time for it, I'll try to get to know them, is that good enough?

All I really know about them is that they're hard on my plumbing. I've got a broken toilet and a dirty shower from their visit. I know the shower would have needed to be clean anyway, but still. It was after their showers that I noticed it the most.

They do clean up to be pretty nice looking boys, though. This is Forest.

This is Hunter.

Just after their showers they decided to rush home to make sure they had what they needed for school. A minute later we were notified that it was a snow day. I wonder if they were just rushing home because they didn't enjoy being over here very much. Maybe we should have been more hospitable...

Breakfast was waffles a la Cycl0n3 and everyone seemed to enjoy it, so good job, hun! I'm sure the step-alterdimensional-grandkids would have enjoyed it, too, had they stuck around.

I didn't want Cycl0n3 to have to work the entire day on the garden, so I helped him water things. Now, I just want to be clear about things, I only water the plants, so you don't need to be worried that my terrible brown thumb is going to kill these little guys. They're still all Cycl0n3's plants.

When I had helped as much as I could, Raquel and I finished up her driver's license. It's a bit bitter sweet. I'm happy that my kids are pretty much grown, they can drive, they can take care of themselves, they get straight A's, but... they grew up too fast. They're my little babies, how in the world are they both driving all ready?

I know, I can't hold onto them forever, especially these two. They're extremely skilled and capable individuals. It's just hard to accept that the really don't need me anymore.

I mean, just look at Hector, for example. He's such a talented guy. He tells me that he's invented a potion of youth! People have been working on that one for longer than I've been alive, and here my son comes along and figures it out! I have no idea what he's working on now, but whatever it is, I'm sure it's brilliant and fabulous and way over my head.

I know I've mentioned a time or two that I really don't document things as well as I should. Well, three days ago, or so, it was the prom and Hector met a girl there. Or well, he's not, like, interested in her or anything, but she keeps calling him and asking him out! Finally he had to get serious with her and he told her exactly what he thought about them getting together! I feel a bit bad for her, I mean, Hector isn't known for being sensitive. Oh well, she should have taken the hint when he was still trying to be nice.

Work came and went, as it does most days, and it was more laundry for me when I got home. I was fully prepared for an evening of normalcy and boredom. That is typically how my evenings go, you know.
Well, of course you know! I'm silly, sometimes I forget that you know what happens in my life... every day. You must get awfully bored!

Anyways, Cycl0n3 had other plans for me than boredom, thank goodness. Sometimes I swear that man saves me from myself. Without him I probably would be the most boring and bored woman alive!

Still waiting on the world to change,

Lynn Sw0rd

  1. Do kids usually hang around after a sleep over? I've never had one so I have no idea.

I wonder just what Hector is up to with his potions... and how will he know if he's made it?

    1. I had to replay this portion of the game three times, and each time they left at 7... or 8, lol, I can't remember. I've never had a sleep over on a weekend, though, so Idk if they stay when there is no school... hrmm. Maybe I'll have Raquel do a weekend sleepover. If anyone's been keeping up with Hector's age, they probably have noticed that he only has one weekend left of teenage-dom, and since I've already played through that weekend... well, we've seen our last sleep over with the Sample boys. :(
