Dear Diary,
How do you think the mornings of a new parent generally start? With a crying baby? Yes! That's how our started on this fine day, too!
But even when he's crying, he's cute. You think so, too, don't you?
Cycl0n3 is an extremely dedicated father. He really surprises me, actually. I mean, we're both first time parents, but he always seems to know what to do, he acts like he was born to be a dad! It's really amazing, and endearing, and if I wasn't already in love with him, I definitely would be falling in love with him, now. Watching him be a dad is better than anything else.
After Hector had his diaper changed, he fell right back asleep. Which was nice because it gave Cycl0n3 and I the opportunity to continue our new found routine. He gardens, I work out. I am almost the best of the best when it comes to physical feats, cool, right? I mean think about it, Lynn Sw0rd, mother of one, athletic champion. Has a nice ring to it, if I do say so myself.
Speaking of athletics, I'm going crazy with this lack of work! I can't even remember the last time I went to work! It was like, yay I'm a member of the sports team- BAM nevermind, please go get married and have a baby and we'll see you when he's a teenager. It's ridiculous. I'm in great shape. Cycl0n3 can watch the baby at home, why can't I go back to work yet? Maybe the gnomes will help me with this.... do you think they have the power to shorten maternity leave?
Oh no. Really? Seriously? I can't even pretend that I don't know what this means.
Oh. My. Word.
I'm not ready! Two kids? Nuh uh, nope, no siree, not gonna happen.... well, actually, I guess it is going to happen. What are we going to do? We need a bigger house! We need a baby's room! We need two extra arms (each!) With two babies, when are we going to sleep? When is he going to garden? When will I get to exercise? WHEN will I get to go back to work?
This is a nightmare. I just hope that as soon as we see the little one's face I'll think it's all worth it.... ugh, it better be worth it.
Oh shuddup, who asked you anyways?
This shade of pink gets a little ugly when you start associating it with vomiting. I think we had maybe better ask the gnomes for redecoration, too.
Where did the time go? It seems like today just disappeared without a trace. I guess baby care will do that, though. Maybe I should have talked more about Hector today, but it was just the normal baby stuff. We fed him a zillion times, we changed his diaper at least 10 times, we played with him for several hourse, etc, you get the point. And now my little boy is a toddler.
I must say that was very quick. He's growing like a weed!
Just as soon as he became a toddler, though, he was exhausted so it was bedtime for him and bedtime for us.
Soon to be parent of two (hopefully just two),
Lynn Sw0rd
I see that you're getting the kids out of the way as soon as possible. Good thing for a rabbithole career sim who was probably pretty high in her career when she started. It takes FOREVER to go back to work.
ReplyDeleteHard to get an idea of what Hector looks like yet.
I know! I'm trying to combine the maternity leaves as much as I can... not sure that works, actually... but anyways, she's only level 5, and since she's in the Sports career she works every day but... wednesday (or thursday?) so she gets to go back to work on Monday, it would be friday but stupid Leisure day fell on her first scheduled day back!
DeleteYeah, I'm getting curious about Hector, I haven't examined him to see who he looks like, yet...
lol, I totally forgot about Sat and Sun( they do come after fri and before mon, don't they?) leisure day came on Sunday and she was supposed to go back to work on Monday, but apparently the game didn't factor leisure day into it, so she ended up back at work on Tuesday. Finally! Now I just need to catch up with writing....
DeleteBack to back pregnancies? They're going to be busy! I get why you're doing that, though. That maternity leave can really mess up the female sims career advancement.
