DOARS- Week 4 Day 4- D-Day in the Sun

Welcome to baby # 2's due day. I know you're dying to find out what Lynn has, so read on!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Diary,
Today I'm going to have a baby. That's really exciting! I'm so glad that I woke up in a great mood, unlike most days. We're going to have our second baby! That brings a smile to my face.
I must say the entire family got up around 2:30 because we went to bed soo early yesterday. I really hope this doesn't mess up our sleeping schedules!
There's so much to do today! Things need to be fixed, the floor needs to be mopped, the house needs to be cleaned top to bottom! Cycl0n3 was good enough to take care of Hector while I got started on all of the work. I might be stuck in the house until next Monday (will my maternity leave really ever be up?) but I can still be useful around here. Not to mention that the minute the new bundle of joy comes, we'll be busier than ever! And believe me, I don't want either of our kids remembering that the bathroom was filthy during their childhood because we were too busy to clean it!
While I took care of things, Cycl0n3 tried to explain the concept of the new baby to Hector. I'm not sure that he really understood, but I'm really sure that he'll understand tonight when I have the baby. I'm just hoping that Cycl0n3 will be sufficient distraction for Hector during my labor, because I think we're going to do a home birth again. I don't want little Hector being traumatized by the labor! He'd be likely to hate his little brother or sister... and that would just not be good, considering his less than considerate tendencies.
Hmm, looks like somebody broke the dishwasher last night... well, just another thing to add to my to do list... after I eat these grape pancakes. Mmmm, grape pancakes never tasted this good! They're heavenly!
I really did get to the dishwasher just as soon as I finished breakfast. It was just a simply wiring problem and took about 5 minutes to fix. I'm pretty sure it'll take twice as long to mop up this water... If it wasn't for the fact that I'm 100% certain that Cycl0n3 broke the dishwasher, I'd probably think Tony had something to do with it. As it is, Tony's been awfully silent lately.... a little too silent...
Cycl0n3 has been in the bathroom with Hector all day! I'm wondering if it's so that Hector can get to the potty quickly, or so that Cycl0n3 can.... puzzling.
Seriously, though, Cycl0n3 is teaching our son in the bathroom? That hardly seems appropriate to me, but I guess it is a strange way to have family time while I fix the toilet.... I guess. Am I trying to hard? I think I am, my husband is weird. All right, I admit it, but I still love him, so that's okay.
I actually finished all the things around the house before the sun came up! How impressive is that! So I thought I'd do an early morning work out- stopping of course to pat my belly. It was only going to be a few more hours (12 or so) until we were going to meet, and I think the baby was as excited as I was.
 After the sun came up and I took a shower, Hector and I decided to head to the park. We'd just been informed that the fair had come to town (fair? festival? Well, whatever) and we thought we'd give it a try. Plus a park is a great place to learn how to walk- so I thought it'd be fun for Hectorito.
I asked Cycl0n3 to come along, but apparently his garden needed him. I guess I did see the tips of the leaves getting brown, but I still wish he'd come with us. This is our last day with just the three of us and it would have been nice to spend it together at the park... but oh well, the garden can't wait...
Hector and I enjoyed the park, though! He got to work on his walking, which is getting much better, thankfully!
And I got to watch some people skating. It looked like a lot of fun, but for whatever reason, they wouldn't let a pregnant woman join in on the fun. Oh well! Maybe after the baby is born we can have a family outing to the park or something.... Yeah, I know, not very likely. The mother of two small children doesn't really have that kind of time... or so I imagine.
Cycl0n3 apparently put off certain things for his garden, and well.... it was very embarrassing for the poor man. I do feel bad about it, but I just think it goes to show you that his prioritizing is a little skewed right now.
 After a long day at the park, Hector finally got the hang of the potty. Meanwhile I had a contraction, it scared scared the tar out of me! In the end, though, it was a false alarm, which is good because the baby was still a few hours too early!
 I put Hector down for his nap and then me and Cycl0n3 worked out together. It felt like it had been forever since we'd been able to do that, so I was really happy about it. Well, I'm pretty happy about everything today. I mean, the sun is shining, my son is happy, my husband's garden is growing, and although I'm a little tired, I'm a lot excited!
I got a call to try out the food at the local bistro, they said it would help me become more famous, and that they'd pay me for it, so obviously I went for it. We desperately needed more money for the baby and the house.
 After I convinced three people to eat there, too, they paid me 2000$ for my service. I earned every penny of that, though, let me tell you. See the blond man? When I tried to convince him to eat there, he said there was a magnet pulling the two of us together and then suggested some incredibly inappropriate things. I don't know what he was thinking, I mean, look at me, I've got a wedding ring, I'm super pregnant, did he seriously think I'd even look at him? If I never see that man again it'll be too soon.
When I got home, I found my wonderfully non-creepy husband teaching our son how to walk. Hectorito seemed to have figured out the whole word thing, he definitely mastered the potty, and now he just needed to walk. I doubt it'll happen before the baby comes, though, because I'm due really soon!
 No sooner had I changed into my pajamas, but the baby decided it was time. I can't wait to meet it! .... but, my word I forgot how horrible labor was. It seemed like it took forever!
Then at 3:29 am the sound of a little girl's newborn cry was heard at the Sw0rd house.
 Raquel Sw0rd was the newest and last baby that Cycl0n3 and I would be having. We had a boy and now a girl and that was sufficient for me.
Unfortunately for Raquel, I was about to pass out when I gave birth to her, so she was immediately put into the new crib in the new baby's room. Wait, what? Oh look! The gnomes gave us a baby's room. Awww! It's pretty! I'm sure she'll love it. She's such a good little baby, I can already tell, and this room seems like just her kind of thing!
Happy mother of two,
Lynn Sw0rd
Just a side note, I love that the random name generator I'm using has now given me two Hispanic names for the kids. :)
  1. Raquel! In Sunset Valley, Hank Goddard and Pauline Wan's love child was named Raquel Wan. Snerk!
    Did you get to pick her traits? I guess it doesn't matter, since you're randomizing everything.
    1. Lol!
      I'm actually not randomizing all their traits. I didn't randomize Hector's traits at all, because he needs to be the emperor of Evil, so I gave him Athletic and Evil, and because the family trait (this gen only) is Computer Whiz (did I ever officially announce that?) as soon as I can, I have to give it to both of the kids, cos the fun stuff this time around is family trait.
      Back to Raquel- I couldn't pick one of her traits- she had good locked in and I randomized the other and got Loves the Cold! During the winter time, I have a feeling that she will be sleeping in an igloo...
    1. Maxis made it. They added a feature where you can add a prebuilt room to the house- and this is the baby girl's room. I coudln't be bothered to give it a personal touch.
  3. It's nice that Lynn got to get out of the house before the baby was born. And now they have a balanced set of children! Seems like the geek in Cycl0n3 would approve.
