After two posts today, I feel pretty pleased with myself, so I can share an off-topic post about seasons, right? Well I have some screenshots that I'd like to show. :D
This is my sim, Anlain Leaflash, trying out the new swimming in the ocean thing, he looked totally cool doin it!
This is the alien that visited him on the first night. He invited her over the next day and married her. :) It was too tempting to resist- my first alien!
My first PREGNANT alien!
I love that the spacesuit is maternity, too.
They can make IGLOOS! Cool. :D
The igloos actually surprised me, you can sleep in them and relax in them, but no woohoo. I mean, that really is surprising! I'm okay with that, but I just figured they'd add that in there because it does seem like EAxis is a bit obsessed with adding gazillions of woohoo locations.
Aww, cute baby bump.
My first snowman!
Cool, alien snowman! he looks really neat. :D
Snowboarding on the new festival lot, I have to admit that I think he should have flopped around a bit more when snowboarding the first time.
I mean, seriously, people, beginners can't do that.
... but let's get more pics of it!
The house looks so warm and cozy in the snow covered world. :)
Polar Bear!
Different family (the leaflashes were NEVER getting abducted) and this is immediately post abduction, look, the alien followed him home!
I still have decided if she has different features from Anlain's alien....
This is just after he got the unexpected weight gain moodlet. I can't see the weight, can you?
Really? He's just fat? They didn't give him a belly? Well, that's okay. I guess there aren't any rules about alien pregnancy in males.
Ooops, missed getting pix of the birth, but look, he's got a son, isn't he a cutie?
Baby aliens are soo adorable. :)
Look, I designed a house! And it looks really pretty in the rain. :)
And we got an alien visitor who he thinks is really attractive. I'm glad they added back something similar to lightning bolts. I know the moodlet isn't much, but I think it's sweet that whenever they're in the same room they get that little buff.
Raking leaves! He raked all day one day, but I never managed to get a big pile- that must take a really long time!
His son couldn't figure out how to make a classic snowman, and just kept making this one.
The kid never went to school. There's way too many snow days now. I mean, winter started and it didn't stop snowing, and the kid was a teenager before he had his first day at school.
.. but the snow angels are really cool. :)
... hockey snowman?
New family again, fireworks!
And an abduction caught on camera! Sooo cool. :D This is back to John Smith (who's alien son is Ian, btw)
And he married the alien, who I cannot remember the name of. It's something weird, I know that.
Okay that's it folks! I'm super happy with it!
That is sooo cool!!
ReplyDeleteIKR! I loves it. :) The aliens are pretty cool. It seems like getting abducted is a little sporadic, like it happens a lot until you have an alien baby, or get an alien in the house, and then it's rare-ish. Or has been for me.... I love the igloo. Little kids can sleep in there (all sims can sleep in there) so I'm thinking it might be useful for the DOARS- who have no idea where they're going to put their kids when they grow up! lol.
DeleteWow, that's a lot of abductions!
ReplyDeleteI just got Seasons, so it's nice to see the overview. My big problem is that Avalon can't support a 60x60 lot, so I can't put down any of the festival lots that came with the game. Bleargh.
Oh noes! What are you going to do?
DeleteThat would be terrible, I mean, there's not a ton to do at the festival lots, but the stuff they have is pretty fun and buying stuff with the tickets is pretty nice...
Well, I put in a request with the DNA team on thesims3.com to design one for a 30x30 lot. It'll probably be more than a month before they get to it though. They're really backlogged. I'm going to take a look at how you design festival lots and see if I can add some festival features to the existing 40x40 big park.
DeleteSo I'm not sure when I'll get that functionality, but I'll come up with something eventually.
I hope you get something worked out sooner than later, cos that's a large part of the new seasons stuff! If you don't mind not having the festival tickets, then I guess you can just plop the activity stuff down in the park...
DeleteI'm kind of curious if you can design a festival lot, though, so I guess let me know what you find! And I hope it goes smoothly!
I think to make something a festival lot, you just have to tag it as a festival lot in Edit Town and put the festival lot objects on it. There are some tutorials up on how to make seasonal lots with objects that change with the seasons. I'm not a terribly good lot designer; I'd rather use somebody else's. DNA Request Team is staggeringly overpopular now and has long wait times, but I'm going to bet that theirs will be gorgeous. Until then, I have the one from My Sims Reality, which also looks nice.
DeleteIt looks like I'll even be able to wedge in lots for the Showtime venues.
Soooo cooool! looks super good. I'm actually really surprised at how awesome it looks. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt does look nice! BUT there is WAAAAY too much precipitation. It rains. all. the. time. During winter it snows. all. the. time.
DeleteIt's a little ridiculous, but it is pretty. But, every type of precipitation has been turned off in like half of the saves that I play, lol, and it may just happen for the Doars, too.... I'm kinda thinking turn it off for 3 days, then on for 3, that way I don't lose it completely.... idk, though.
Oh! Seasons has aliens??? Now I have to get it. Thanks for the peek!
ReplyDeleteLol, IKR! As soon as I saw that it had aliens I was sold on it. Plus I was pretty eager for seasons, too. :) All in all I'm fairly pleased with this expansion.
